Ginzinger electronic systems is hosting the second Ginzinger Repair Café on November 22, 2024 in the Weng/Innkreis community hall. With this event, the company aims to set an example against the throwaway mentality and towards sustainable thinking. Under the guidance of Ginzinger volunteers, guests are encouraged to breathe new life into broken, cherished appliances in a cozy atmosphere.

Zeichen gegen Wegwerfmentalität

At Repair Cafés, guests come along with their defective appliances and broken everyday items. The basic idea is to try to repair things yourself in order to extend the life of everyday objects and small appliances and save money and resources.

On site, with the support of volunteers, defective items are screwed, sewn, glued and cleaned. Often it is only small defects, such as a broken solder joint, a bad contact in the switch or a clogged filter, that determine whether the item is used or thrown away.

The initiators of the Repair Cafés in the Innviertel region are the kuli - Kultur.Land.Impulse association in cooperation with Umweltprofis Braunau (district waste association).

What is it about?

  • Repairing instead of throwing away!
  • Screwing, sewing and gluing together
